Introduction
|
|
Our program provides access to information and
ideas for all users. It affords opportunities for students to
appreciate literature and the cultural arts, to learn creative
thinking skills, to become critical seekers of information and ideas
and to use instructional and educational technology effectively so
they may become independent lifelong learners and decision makers. |

Goal |
|
The goal of the school Media Center is to support, compliment, and
expand the instructional
program
of the school. It's open to all, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. -
3:20 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the programs the
Media Center offers, and to collaborate with the Media Specialist.
New books and software have been purchased for all to read and
enjoy. The Media Center is filled with adventures for all. See you
there! |

|
Check Out |
|
Students
are encouraged to
check
out at least 2 books per week from the Media Center. A book from the
Media Center should be with them at all times. Proper care of books
is stressed. Students who lose or destroy a book must pay for it.
The new circulation software being used throughout the Miami-Dade
County Public School
System
is Destiny, a network and Internet based program, that allows
parents, students, and county-wide administrators to view check-out
records from anywhere. |
